I've lost both of the bolts on my filters and I don't know what size they are. The aren't M6. Anybody got these and know what size bolt I need

Neil,

Simple solution-run a 6x1mm tap thru the captive nut.

Neil,
I just put some new filters on my car, the hold-down bolts were 10-24 threads; maybe yours are the same...

Neil,
If you want to see if your filter bracket might have m6x1 threads you could try one of the screws on the seatback recliner. Someone on the forum here recently posted that there is a file showing all the fasteners, you may find it if the m6 is too big or too small, it would give you a direction to go.
At 24 tpi that’s pretty darn close to one mm (25.4 tpi), so do be careful.
My filter base is cast aluminum with two threaded bosses for wing nuts, I’ll see if I can get you a picture

I did try some M6s in there but they wouldn't thread easily and got stuck so I didn't force them.
