Re: fan shroud bolt question
I found these in my Nut and Bolt Museum. Most of them were 12-mm long, but two were 10 mm. I think there have been times when I filed the head thin to get clearance behind Weber carb intakes.

Re: fan shroud bolt question
I also have these on my generator plate as it attaches to the fan shroud. Perhaps because those should not be over-tightened and should be installed with a screwdriver only.

Re: fan shroud bolt question
Wurth sold a 6mm screw with 10mm ATF head and a slot that also had a captive washer. I used to by them 200 at a time and would replace every screw on the engine with them. I looked at their website recently and couldn't find them but they might still be available.
Not original, but back then, it was about practicality and speed to finish the job.
