That's a C engine number; 1964, with Euro heater.

sorry Greg it is a C according to Dick's post it would have a serial no beginning with an 8 to be a SC

Hope you don't want to restore to show with Euro heaters. In a link I read Mike Smith of PRS said that he had found all the parts and estimated 6-7K spent. I would keep the block off plate and do USA heat. But I am cheap or frugal depending on how kind you want to be in your description.

It's the heat exchangers that are the biggest item, nearly $5 grand for new reproductions, but a good deal more than that from Porsche.
