Passing of Bob Doty

#1 Post by Bob Forman »

It is with great regret that I send along this note that the Pacific Northwest Region has lost a remarkable participant in our club. Bob Doty died on Monday at his daughter's home in Denver. Bob was a very active member attending and/or driving in most every event we had. He owned, in addition to his 1963 Super 90, a 911S, a 928 and a Cayenne, and subscribed to every Porsche-related publication available. This photo was taken at Larry Markham's in 2017. He will be sorely missed.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My son and I had the pleasure of meeting Bob at a Porsche lunch a couple weeks ago. We sat and listened to him describing his passion for his cars and his family. He seemed to be full of happiness even though he had suffered some medical difficulties recently.
RIP Bob Doty.

Indeed Bob will be missed. Such a Porsche enthusiast! I feel fortunate to have had him along on several of our long-distance 356 road trips. He was a lot of fun and enjoyed driving his S 90 B coupe regularly. He and Pam were "regulars" at the Emory Campout as well as the 356 GNW events and monthly breakfasts. Always a smiling happy guy! RIP

Bob leaves us all with a smile and happy memories. This is, indeed sad to hear.
Does anyone have a home address for Pam so we can send a card?
Does anyone know of any services planned?

Keep the 356 Faith!
Diane and John
