Has anyone been to the Greenwich Concours?
This year they are going to feature Briggs Cunningham, Jaguar SS cars and competition motorcycles.
If I understand it correctly american cars are on saturday and foreign cars on sunday.
Any input on the show and showing a car and judging is appreciated.
thanks

Victor
it's a great experience. i highly recommend showing there.. lots of free good food and drink for owners a lunch tent ( lobster sliders and the most amazing raspberry iced tea served in champagne glasses. my daughter got a kick out of it )
They are very accommodating and they treat you like royalty..
i've shown there 3 times in the past 12 years .. over the years the classes have changed . The first rear i was in a class with other period air cooled car won first in class .
Second time i've shown, i was in a post war sports car class with all kinds of amazing cars placed second.
The last time i shown i was in a class with any and all porsches.
i had a porsche Gt to the right of me and a 918 spyder to the left of me. and an amazing black speedster one space over that definitely deserved 1st place The judging is typical hands off inspection and interview. judging points deducted for chips scratches worn carpet and so on it's basically about how the car looks.
So it's pretty hard to compete with a new 918 spyder with under 200 miles not to mention the cool factor .. so who know how the classes will be this year ? it's a crapshoot I'm in no way bashing the classes it's by far the best put on venue i have ever attended . .
for me it's not about winning it's about the experience i highly recommend it. i will be going again in a few years i think you can only show once every 5 years.
you so should show, it's a really good time with great people and amazing cars.

Is this a "wive's only" event?PaulAhnell wrote:Don't forget your tasseled Guccis (no hose, of course!).
