Spotted in a Paddock.
This looks to be a Pre-A split window to me. I spotted it in the background of a friends tourist photo when they were holidaying recently overseas. As you can imagine, if it is what I hope it is, I am staying pretty quiet about the location.
Any input from more knowledgeable members than I on this grainy photo will be appreciated.

Re: Spotted in a Paddock.
I am afraid it is just some old sedan, look at the window frame area, too thick for a 356. Also the main door panel looks very tall. What I can see of fender area also looks like some kind of front engine/rwd car. It's old, though.

Yep that looks a split window, missing a few things. Looks like it's in Morley from over here.

Re: Spotted in a Paddock.
Not a split window 356, the rear window is too big and the front of the door is cut off too sharp does not extend forward enough from the base of the windshield and there is too much roof above the windshield.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

I would still check it out, in person otherwise you will be wondering for the rest of your life and whether you missed on an opportunity. There is nothing like a car chase/barn find, just ask Adam

He's also right about the feeling from a good barn find, it's a high like no other.

Re: Spotted in a Paddock.
I have gone to look at many 356's and they all turned out to be Karmann Ghias but I chased them all down regardless. Most of them were from folks who looked at my 59 coupe and swore the car they looked at was a carbon copy of my coupe. You do have to go look though just in case. I found a 64 C coupe because the owner who had had it stored for 27 years saw my 59 one day when I was attending a fine dining experience at my local Arby's and came in to speak to me.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.
