Re: Accleration Pump
Look under the crank pulley, you are looking for a small nut and a cotter pin for the bottom hole. The engine is pretty sealed up, the parts are probably still in the engine compartmen. Where are you, the TAN list may show a close member.

Pierre that assembly is available from Stoddard here ( http://www.stoddard.com/61610080900.html ) and other vendors but as the Zenith carb was used on other vehicles there is a chance you could source that part in Mexico City. Most common vehicle it was used on was I believe a Unimog but there may have been others. Find a specialist carb shop in Mexico City and ask. They may be able to help if you cannot find the lost part. If all else fails I will look and see if I have one of those links to spare. Post a picture of what you still have so we can be certain of what you need.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

I would drive my car without worry without that part, just step on the gas gradually and it should work reasonably well. No harm will be done.

Re: Accleration Pump
Zeniths were used on Bugs so you might luck out asking around VW shops. But these accelerator pump arms have been rigged up over the years with various odds and ends. The important thing is to get the length right, which should be about 70mm. You can confirm it to match the one you've got. You can use a piece of coat hanger or something similar. Once you figure out how to keep it in place at both ends and have the right length, it should work. Confirm by watching the squirt from the pump nozzles. You could try to measure it (0.25-0.3cc/2 pumps) but it'd be good enough if it's close to what the other side is doing.

Re: Accleration Pump
You can make the center tube. Any old type machine shop can make that from a piece of stock. Take them a sample to show them. In Mexico there are many old hand crank manual machinist still working.

Re: Accleration Pump
One end of it has left hand thread, maybe a little trickier to get one made. The coat hanger idea is excellent and I am sure would work decently.
