Pre-A measurements

#1 Post by Rich Ewald »

Does anyone have access to Pre-A chassis drawings similar to the ones in the ABC manuals? I need to confirm/determine the chassis measurement from the front lower torsion center to the rear torsion center or the 1890 measurement shown in the later drawings. We've had many requests for Pre-A front fixtures for our 356 sets.

On page B-43 of the 1954 manual the drawing looks to be the same and the measurement is 1885 plus or minus 2.

Hey Brad .. we make 356 Fixture sets.. similar to the early rigid Celette style..They bolt directly to the crossmembers.. unlike the 578.300 modular system using the MZ towers. We're developing the Pre-A front towers for a few customers to be added to the set..

Rich, Thanks, now I understand. Do you advertise the availability of these fixtures to other shops? Sale outright, or rent?
Here is a link to some previous discussion about Celette bench systems. https://porsche356registry.org/article/128
and a link to Rich's shop showing Celette https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds ... id=1037843

Hey Brad.. Here's a link to sets we make and sell... We have 3 Celette tables here at the shop. All our current work can be seen on our FB page or Instagram.
