help ID wind up clock

#1 Post by Jerry Haussler »

I took this in as trade about 15 years ago. I'd never seen another until recently. I've checked the '58 Qualitest catalog, but the photo is so small as to be of little help. OD of the bezel is 55mm. were these offered as accessory items by Porsche ? inquiring minds want to know.
TIA

I had this one a few years ago, sold for over $1000 if I remember correctly.

I believe those would be dealer or aftermarket installed.
Still rare mind you,...but the Porsche installed one would be a Keinzle.
Here’s a link to a lively discussion of the dash clocks.

I was planning on installing mine in my '55 Continental, but the Porsche executive who is taking delivery after the Amelia Island concourse wanted nothing but factory installed equipment. ...............................Jim.
