END of an ERA - Last EASY Gathering

#1 Post by Steve Douglas »

Yesterday was the last Saturday gathering that EASY is sponsoring, a huge farewell to celebrate the END OF AN ERA. Thank you Jim for the many fun times and being there for all of us, enjoy retirement and thank to John for putting up with us at the counter for so many years. The gatherings will be still continuing under the new building owner, but assuredly they won't be the same. How many showed up? Guessing over a 1000, Porsches were 3 deep on Harlan St., for 4 blocks on Park, and many on Watts St., and that was at 9:30am don't know how many more showed up till noon. A fitting memorial

Good luck to you Jim. It was a pleasure working with you and yakking on the phone for all these years - sorry I never made a gathering but it's a ways from Idaho.
Please promise you'll stay in touch with the forum.

Sorry to have missed you Steve. As someone who works 9 to 5, I get out of bed on the weekend whenever I feel like it. We rolled in about 10:30 and there were still quite a few folks around. Talked to Jim for a bit as we were leaving. Also talked to Alan Klingen from The Stable. Seems like he’s doing really well. Unfortunately, he had to sell his turbo. A great time and couldn’t have asked for better weather. J

Hi Jay, I got there early and left about 9:45 as there was a 356 garage tour in San Carlos, followed by a family gathering in Santa Cruz, crazy day but did it all. Check out more photos on Instagram #easyporsche
