Just found this thread. I can offer that the engine I was led to by Martin is the correct, original engine per factory documentation. As this was purchased through a third party, I can only say I didn't pay the asking price. I do believe though that it was worth the still high cost. My plan is to keep the current 912 power, and restore the original so that when/if the car is sold the buyer has a choice to return to original.
