Quick question before I drill How far below the rear deck lid opening is the top of the letters. Too the holes which are 4” wide is an inch and a half or an in and 3/4 the correct space?

Re: Porsche script
Hi Chris
Obviously the original holes have been filled. My suggestion is to solicit a couple of Resto Shops. Give them the production info on your car as well as how many mounting pins on your script and ask them to make you a paper template. I expect most of the respected restorers in our orbit would do this for a nominal fee. This would result in a much more satisfying outcome than having some "smart guy" at a cars and coffee on some future date saying, "hey, isn't that script a little low"

You might be able to reach up and feel for Bondo worms but a template would be better.

Re: Porsche script
Well after eyeballing it numerous times from pics I decided on what looked right. Drilled holes that seemed like going into body putty. Couldn't believe it was perfect. I usually get it right the 3rd time:)

Now take precise measurements and publish for the next person with the same question.

Was the mounting strip still there on the inside of the nose?
