Re: HELP WITH AUTORADIO
Based on the late Charlie White's pages: http://derwhites356literature.com/New35 ... dioID.html it does not appear to have been used in a 356. But it is European with three presets on the AM band (M) and two presets on the short-wave band (K). Are there any markings on it? Any more photos?

Re: HELP WITH AUTORADIO
This radio is AM and has 2 LW ( long wave ) bands. So it is clearly set up for use in Europe.
One of the K push buttons puts the receiver on one segment of the long wave band and the other push button puts the receiver on a different segment of the long wave band.
No FM on this radio.
I haven't seen this radio in a 356.
Best of Luck!

Re: HELP WITH AUTORADIO
Surely the letter "K" on the preset button is for the German for Short wave which is "Kurz", a common feature on early radio sets. The paint on the radio front is not a normal finish, looks like it has been repainted.
The photo shows a metal casing under the radio, is it a valve type of radio with a separate amplifier?

Yes, the link given by Luc confirms the two short wave bands.Robin Walker wrote:Surely the letter "K" on the preset button is for the German for Short wave which is "Kurz", a common feature on early radio sets.
