I am looking to replace the after market radio in my 1962 T-6 with an original. Can someone please tell me which factory radio options came with the car?
Thank you

Try this for correct radios.

Re: 1962 Radio
Both a March 1962 356B Accessories brochure and a September 1964 356C Accessories brochure are reprinted in:
Porsche Brochures & Sales Literature: A Source Book 1948-1965, by Miller & Merritt.
They include the factory-installed radio options.
Charlie White's book, Der White’s 356 Porsche Sales and Technical Literature has the contents of a September 1962 356B T-6 accessories brochure.
I take it your Kardex and/or Certificate of Authenticity show your 356B was delivered without a radio. Just about any period radio could be considered "correct" in that case.
The FM band in Germany was 87.5 MHz to 100 MHz until 1968 so many period Blaupunkt and Becker radios won't get the whole FM band in the USA (which was and still is 87.5 MHz to 108 MHz).

'61-62 was an E series Blaupunkt Frankfurt. '62-63,was a T series. Green faces.

Re: 1962 Radio
Likely not a green face if the radio was installed by the dealer.
One thought is to pick up a cheap core - need not be working - and send it to Turnswitch for conversion to digital internals. Mine came out great - actual stereo sound, more power, better station holding. More bucks, but more Buck Rogers!

Re: 1962 Radio
If the radio was installed at a dealer at the time of sale, it would have had a "T" series Blaupunkt Radio. That is the last radio with a green face. "U" (63 and later) radios all had white faces. Charlie insisted (incorrectly) for years that all factory installed radios in a 356 came with green faces.Mark Reich wrote:Likely not a green face if the radio was installed by the dealer.
