Stoddard Roadster Top to Windshield seal

#1 Post by John Eaton »

I have to replace the seal on my '61 356B roadster. I purchased one this week from Stoddard. It is one piece with the center portion a rubber foam like material but the ends are a solid rubber. I then read on the forum site where some folks said the Stoddard rubber was still too hard. Can anyone confirm using this "new" top seal as listed by Stoddard? Has it worked for anyone or should I try to get a different manufacturer - like International Mercantile that might have an all foam version?
thanks,

John

Olivier,
Je vous remercie pour cette référence. Avez-vous essayé cela sur un roadster et trouvé que cela fonctionne bien? Est-il entièrement en caoutchouc mousse ou est-ce que sont les parties d'extrémité en caoutchouc solide?

John

Yes, the fitment is ok and it's foam from end to end!

Cicognani is a "A++" supplier!

Your French is near perfect, not my English...............

I've held onto this one for years, not sure if it's original but it's much spongier than the ones being sold now. It's going on my car at the paint shop in a couple of weeks.
