Where is everyone getting M8x125 14 ATF nuts these days?

#1 Post by Erik Thomas »

I feel like Rip Van Winkle sometimes

All of a sudden my local sources for DIN 934 M8x 1.25 nuts with the old size 14mm across the flats. I also need M6x1.0 with 11 ATF. Tried Belmetric, nada. Metric and Multisource, nada.

Thanks, Erik

I peruse the Bel Metric website, but see no 14 ATF nuts. Am I missing something?

Give a phone call to Metrics Unlimited. They might have them.

International Mercantile has them listed on their web site.

Wolfsburg West also has some.

I'm not sure about the WW 14 mm nuts

I have gotten 14 mm fasteners from Wolfsburg West. Hard to find in their catalog.
Perhaps, call them.

14 mm heads very hard to find. I bought from BelMetric but they were not 14 mm heads.
Problem is, most fastener places do not include head/wrench size.
My current project is a 1950 vw bug. Fasteners has been the biggest frustration.

Metrics Unlimited handy but doesn't seem to help us.

Oh, yes. Another problem. Sometimes you can order only 25 or 100 items.
Bin there, done that.

I did not find the types of fasteners we are looking for in a Stoddard's search.

I didn't ever think to look at Porsche suppliers.
Oh, well.

Right here http://www.nlaparts.com/store/hex-nut-m8-p-18329.html
or
http://www.stoddard.com/90007601301-nla.html

And hunt around on either site for M-8 bolts with 14 mm across the flats.
