Weber parts stash. Is any of this worth saving?
I found a milk crate full of Weber stuff over the holidays. Two carbs in pretty bad shape, two adapter plates, and two steel manifolds that don’t seem right for the Webers. Both the carbs have some corrosion in the bores, and one of the butterfly shafts is frozen. The adapter plates seem to be in usable condition. The manifolds have 44 bores and are 120 on center, which is way too big for the Webers. Some rust but I could sandblast them. I assume those carburetors are not worth saving, I am curious about what those manifolds are for. Thanks in advance to the experts, Jay

Jay,
Those look like old original Italian Webers with the roller actuated accelerator pump. Take them to a swap meet and they may go. The manifolds... no clue.

Those early Webers with the roller activated acc. pumps have two settings; to much and WAY TO MUCH!

I have been informed that those are indeed Carrera 2 manifolds. Makes sense, I guess, since my dad had a Carrera back in the late 60s. I figured they were some of my uncle’s old dune buggy junk that had gotten thrown into that crate. I already have two offers to buy them, so please no more emails. Apparently, some of this IS worth saving. Those carbs don’t seem worth saving to me, but if anybody in the bay area wants to come and grab them for parts you can get them at my shop for a case of good beer. Happy New Year everyone! Jay
