Lots of incorrect finishes on that motor - maybe owner preference/going in an outlaw? Sure looks clean and sounds good, though. Love first start videos and that one fired up the quickest I've seen.

Most of his fire up like that. He nickle plates to clean and protect, after that you can have him paint or what ever.

I think she was a bit out of sync. at steady throttle or too much advance.

I doubt it was knocking as that is something that will only occur under load unless the timing was ridiculously far advanced and he looked to be happy with the timing.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.
