Zenith Carb 32 NDIX correct accel pump ?

#1 Post by Gus Borner »

Hey. Rebuilding my Zenith 32 NDIX's.

Question regarding accelerator pumps.

Left one is on the rebuild kit
Right one is the existing

Which is correct ? Short end of the shaft looks different. Length is different.
If I use the one in the kit do I just add a cotter pin ?

Thank you !!!!

Gus

Gus,

Take the cardboard tube off the end. Are they the same length? The ones below are correct and the kit should have a pin. Shorter ones will pump too much fuel.

If you have a pump that is too short you can dismantle them and use your old pump shaft with the new diaphragm.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Good point David but I think his old one might be the short one.
