Robb: I had posted a reply yesterday but for some reason, it didn't post.
If you are talking about the grill badges with holes for screws, I would use either brass or stainless steel screws (depending upon the finish of the badge) with fender washers and Nylock nuts. The screws have to be long enough to reach through the grill slats.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q ... 5525300177 Most badges will have a bar for mounting the event badge.

Re: what is best hardware to use installing grille badges
Let me suggest a better way to mount grille badges. The usual solutions require that you use very small nuts and various size washers, all of which can be dropped into your engine compartment and may be difficult to retrieve. I stopped using the "standard" method (http://www.sierramadrecollection.com/Gr ... 16135.html) long ago.
Try this instead: get a couple of stainless button head or other screws about 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" long and large enough to fit through the holes in the badge. Then find a short length of aluminum bar 1/2" wide, 1/8" thick and slightly longer that the diameter/width of the grill badge. Mark where the screws come through the badge and hit the aluminum bar; then drill 2 holes smaller than the diameter of the screws and run and tap through the holes. Start one screw into the bar off the grill and then put the bar through your grill and position the badge where you want it. Line up the other hole with the other screw and advance the screw into the aluminum bar. Before you tighten both screws, put a drop of Blue Loctite on your screws for good luck and tighten both screws so that the badge does not slide up and down on the grille. No nuts to drop, no washers to drop and no frustration. Easy to install, easy to remove and no tiny bits of hardware to drop into your engine compartment.
The picture shows the finished product installed on the grill. I will never go back to screws and nuts/washers again.
