356 Tidy up

Hi, working on the 356C, one minor question - what colour should the number plate bracket be? Mine is body colour, is that correct or should it be black?

Black on my unmolested 64C.

The bracket is not factory anyway, paint it whatever looks good. Most that I have seen started out plated clear zinc or something silver. Black added during a paint job or restoration.
