Oil filter gasket has failed on 1956 356A T1 1600. Gasket replaced still small leak .
Any tips?

There are two gasket sizes. Trying to use the larger of the two in a can needing the smaller one will cause a 'fold' in the gasket and it will not seal.
When you take the top off the canister, it will be visible if that is the case.
