Porsche 356A Optional high volume brake reservoir

#1 Post by Tom Nelson »

We just got in a 1959 Porsche 356A cabriolet and set about to go through the brake system after it has been off the road since 1988. Looked at the brake reservoir, hadn't quite seen that before. It was probably an aftermarket addition, my guess; and high dollar. I haven't seen it on any of the Porsche 356 option lists though. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I hope you can find a period correct lid. The brake fluid will absorb a lot more water with it open like that.

Bruce is right, it needs a tight fitting lid. ...........Jim.

The nice thing is, you can top off your brake fluid at any 7-11. :-)

It's perfect, top off also describes the reservoir.

Lid and elbow straw to connect to a line.
