TRUSTEE ELECTION begins online Wednesday, November 15th

#1 Post by Gordon Maltby »

Electronic voting will begin Wednesday morning, November 15th. You will receive an email with an invitation to vote, including a link to click.

Please be sure your email settings do not direct Registry emails to your spam folder.

The sender will be "Porsche 356 Registry" from the address "noreply@electionrunner.com"

A voter ID (your member number) and a voter key (randomly generated) will be shown, but all you need to do is "click here to vote" to be taken to the ballot. Once you vote you may not vote again. On line voting ends at midnight, November 30th.

If we do not have your current email address, you will not be able to vote electronically. However, you can still cast a paper ballot:

If you prefer to vote by mail, you must request a paper ballot by emailing, writing or calling the membership office. Paper ballots must be received by our accounting firm by December 15th, 2018.

Thanks Gordon, I got my E-ballot today.

In view of the historical data wouldn't it be more efficient to elect Trustees for life and then only hold special elections when a Trustee chooses/volunteers to step down?

What changes/improvements are proposed by the candidates? The statements are fairly brief.

Gordon,
Good idea to make info available easily; please link the candidates statements on the voting page.
If you want participation, make it easy.

Ron,

It's not possible to link statements to the voting page. If people are too lazy to click over to the front page here, or read their magazine, what can I say? Well, in fact, I can say plenty but I won't.

Gordon

Maybe Gordon's relatives are visiting for Thanksgiving?

Happy Early Thanksgiving to everyone.

It is that obvious? I fact it's just my mother-in-law, but she's OK.

And back to something else you mentioned, Cliff: expanded statements from trustee candidates. We have always encouraged members to contact candidates if they have questions or want to know more about their positions. Both email and phone numbers are at the end of each statement. As far as I know, few members take advantage of this, but it's always there if you really want to know how someone thinks about an issue.

FYI, we have just passed 1000 voters online, a new high and a good thing for the club.

Hi Gordon,
Happy Thanksgiving!

Asking the Trustees directly about Term Limits, Competitive Bidding of Major Purchases, and Travel and Entertainment Expense Detail reporting has only gotten me yelled at. Well, maybe just a raised voice but it wasn't pleasant. No, it wasn't who you think it was. Posting the same questions on the Talk forum only elicits attacks from members that incorrectly hear an attack of their friends rather than a simple question that may deserve some conversation amongst the members. It's too bad that there can't be a mature discussion of the pros and cons of policy without resorting to personal issues.

Everybody, enjoy your day!
