Lots of options if you put your state and county I'm sure that will help members suggest someone.

Hi John
what do you mean by engine builder.
1. an interdependent Porsche service facility that will do the R+R and service it need your location.
2. a turn key re builder that will return an engine ready to install
3. a machine shop that will do the longblock complete.
4. a machine shop will do everything ready for assembly.
or any combionation?

Jacques is right on. What you ask could cost $1,000, or $20,000. Or more, or less.

Many 356 owners in the Pacific Northwest choose Morris Brothers in Murray, Utah. They do an excellent job.

Jacques - The name of a reputable machine shop that can do a complete longblock would be awesome. Much appreciated.

Ned - Your input is also much appreciated. I will look them up also.

Thanks all!

See permanent sticky at top of main discussion page to ad location to your profile. It will help with answering your questions. No need to be real specific, just a general area. LA,Portland etc

Hi Jon
Competion Engineering can be coaxed into doing it.
Olies in Lake Havasu does excellent machine work
Motorwerks in National City does complete machine but they have a hard time sourcing parts.
you can call me for a more tailored recomendation if i know your location and more specifics of what you have and what you want to achieve.
