Anybody who knows more about this book

#1 Post by frank p hijmans »

Hi All,

I have found a 356 book that I have not ever seen before. I was told (and it is also stated in the book itself) that this was the accessory book used by porsche sales persons back in the days.

It is a book which has the ability to add and to delete option papers and it currently has options from 9100 to 9600.

Anybody that knows more about these books? Also curious what the value is of these books....any ideas?

Regards, frank

Frank,

I am not an expert at all, but I have heard about dealer accessory guides, which show a picture for every option and accessory. Yours must be one of those. I would guess that it is fairly valuable to the right person.

What is the date for your copy? What does it show for wood steering wheels?

Hi Edwin,

Thanks for your reply.

Regarding the date: the inlet says 1963.

Please see the picture for the wooden wheel details. Why are you asking for this in particular?

Regards, frank

Frank,

I have a slotted-spoke dished VDM wood wheel, and some posters here (initially) claimed that Porsche never offered such a wheel as an option. But someone had one of these dealer accessory guides which showed a picture of my wheel. I wondered if your version shows it.

As I remember it, the version showing my wheel was dated earlier.

Thanks,
Ed
