I took the advice of Luc Verschueren and took the cover off the power supply to find if it was 6 volts negative ground.
Much to my surprise I see what I needed to know, (6 Volts negative ground printed on the vibrator).
Perfect!!!

I was hoping someone could look at the wiring of the speaker connections and tell me if there is anything that could suggest the polarity of the speaker wires.

Mike thanks foe the response.
As far as guessing polarity from the power supply to the speakers. Is there a noticible sound difference if the current runs reverse than intended?
Will this damage the speakers?
Food for thought.

Hopefully someone can come up the correct orientation.
Speakers are "AC" so polarity doesn't matter as long as you wire both speakers the same way.

Some higher resolution photos might help. All I can see from your photos is that I can't see any markings.

There's a lot of documentation at The Samba https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/radios.php Sadly, it can be a little difficult to match a manual to a year.

Here's something I downloaded for a "Q" code Blaupunkt Frankfurt (should be '59-'60):

This is for a 1958-1959 Blaupunkt Frankfurt (series "G"). It's in German:

I just finished a radio install today in the '60 356B coupe. I was able to unsolder the speaker plug , and insert new brown 16G wires. 16G seemed to match the originals more closely than 18, but I am sure either is fine. Last step was to solder the speaker wires to the speakers once all the other stuff was done. I shrink wrapped the speaker wires, rather than using " zip cord". The fiber board holes in the speaker adapter were countersunk, and using M4 x 20 flat head machine screws. I checked the tapped holes with a tap before tying to fit the speakers, to make sure they were nice and smooth. In the metal pockets that hold the speakers, after cleaning and painting, I fitted an oval carpet backer "Jute" to dampen road noise. These were fitted in a factory install.

The reason to C-sink the screws is that fitting the chrome covers is not easy.. and a raised head would interfere. In the end, I struggled with the supplied clips, but ended up using a piece of .032 safety wire to tighten the band.

Regarding radio repair, thought I'd share my experience with German Repair in CA. Sent my Blaupunkt AM/FM to Herman twice and it still doesn't work. Anywhere else on the west coast?
