Joe Johnson
Folks
It is with a heavy heart that I have to share that Joe Johnson lost his battle with cancer this morning. He was diagnosed this summer and there were no options for treatment. He was able to put in a short appearance at the recent Helen Gathering and we are grateful for that but it is only a small consolation. It is a certainty that there has not been anyone else in the history of this organization who has done as much for the club as Joe did. He is already missed but his contributions will live on. Please keep Karen in your thoughts.

Re: Joe Johnson
That is very sad news, indeed - Joe was the go-to guy for all the website questions I had.
RIP, Joe.

Re: Joe Johnson
My deepest condolences. It is very sad to lose any of our members but especially those who have contributed so much.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Re: Joe Johnson
Terrible news. Joe was such a fixture in the 356 community, putting on East Coast Holidays, organizing events such as The Blue Meets The Grey, which we used to drive down to Virginia to attend, etc. very tragic for Joe to have been taken so soon. Our prayers and thoughts are with Karen and family.

Re: Joe Johnson
I am sad to learn this. I was fortunate to have a pleasant conversation with Joe, during the Helen event, and I had no idea he was sick at the time. He leaves a permanent legacy of grace and service that we all should emulate.

I spoke with Joe at the Helen Event. He seemed to really enjoy seeing everyone and listening to stories. May we all exit so gracefully. We'll KTF for you Joe, Godspeed.

Re: Joe Johnson
My favorite memory is of having dinner at the Tahoe Holiday. He was showing all of us his ability to get a spoon to stay stuck to his nose! I think beside Joe and I (with wives) there was also John Hearn and Dianne Morrill. An incredibly fun evening!
Come for the cars- stay for the people!
He will be greatly missed.

Re: Joe Johnson
I met Joe how long ago I don't remember but he was man who made me feel like I had know him a lifetime. Even though my conversations were short I enjoyed each and everyone. It broke my heart when I was told of his illness and his passing adds to the sadness. It is a blessing he didn't linger for a long time as some have done. My heart goes out to Karen for I know she is in great pain and sadness. My prayers are with her. As for as Joe he will have God looking for a good deal on a 356. God bless Joe and Karen.
