Glove compartment liner question

#1 Post by Charles H Jacobus »

When did Porsche begin putting the liner on the glove compartment door?

Thanks in advance.

Charles - I'm not familiar with older Porsches - do you mean the flocking or fuzzy stuff that they put on the inside of the glove box?

Parts Catalog indicates the lid liner started with T-1 cars --- same part thru T-6 -- then change with the C lid lock position.

If they started with the T-1 cars, then what to do if there is a clock in the glove box door. I don't see how it would work with a clock, or would that be an exception.

Gee, I guess you cut a hole in the liner and/or eliminate the elastic strap.
