How much oil will flow out when I take out the plug to change the copper gasket? (leaking)

ok, but when the engine runs, the oil gets down there or?

Are you sure the oil is leaking from the plug? Look above (after cleaning the area) and watch if it's coming from above--like the pulley seal is wetting the 1/2 moon plate and wets the oil pump cover. Also, after a drive, is the underside of the deck lid wet?
