Tach drive gear -plug

#1 Post by Lars Hvidsteen »

How much oil will flow out when I take out the plug to change the copper gasket? (leaking)

Hardly any, Lars; Just what's on the plug.

Lars,

Are you sure the oil is leaking from the plug? Look above (after cleaning the area) and watch if it's coming from above--like the pulley seal is wetting the 1/2 moon plate and wets the oil pump cover. Also, after a drive, is the underside of the deck lid wet?
