I think my car has the rare factory-delete of the right Pittman arm. It's not there!

I think they were all shipped to the Aussies.......
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

I guess Al is referring to the right-hand steering arm on the axle. And, perhaps the right-hand tie rod would get bent when the wheel hits the curb.
As for driving the king pin out, below is w/s manual page showing how it should be done. I've done many axle rebuilds during NLA days and found often that I wasn't the first one into that particular axle. The hole thru the spindle must be perfectly clean of any burrs and the pin must be centered perfectly before any pressing is attempted. If not, a burr could start and the pin will still go in but with extreme pressure -- until the next guy, me, years later, tries to press the pin out!
The press tools listed are absolutely necessary to do the job and for your own safety -- I guess Al has all of them plus the checking jigs for the rest of the assembly.
