The copper tracks of the controller were completely oxidized

There was the main cause of the malfunction of my blower
I was able to clean them and make it functional again

I also slightly bent the contact lamellae so that they exert better pressure
Now, it is ready to be installed again in the the car

I would try a typewriter eraser on them again before re installing. A regular red pencil will work also just takes longer. They will clean up much brighter than shown.

OK, We still need to hear from more people that have fresh air blowers in their cars. Anyone?

Got a pile of Relays? Looking for WH-8/1/St/D.....

#35 Post by Eric Lenius »

Hey! Do you have Wehrle relays kicking around? I am looking for a WH-8/1/St/D relay. Looks just like the normal WH-8/1/St/D horn relay with bullet connectors.

Regards,

Eric L.

Wehrle Relay catalog information. Anyone have a catalog?

#37 Post by Eric Lenius »

Does anyone have a Wehrle automotive relay catalog from the mid 60s?

So, the goal here is to see if there is technical data for the different relays....

I have a blower I removed from an SC some years ago when I fitted A/C.

I have crazily continued the relay quest and have successfully re-wound a "K" relay coil (was overheated and shorted) to the correct DC resistance for a "D" style relay. Still looking for original installations for details.

On the subject of Relays......BN4 Heater Relay

#44 Post by Eric Lenius »

Hey Kids!

I am still scouring the planet for a Wehrle WH-8/1/St/D relay. I thought I might mention that it is also the relay used on the T-6 6V BN4 heater installations. Not 12V, so no good for Carrera....

Anyhow.....who has a pile of these kicking around.....

Help me Mr. Wizard!
