Hi all,
Driving my 356bt5 around a lot this summer I noticed 4th gear is slipping out a bit sometimes (so only just a bit to the front). Stays in 4th gear and drives fine but this sometimes happens 5 seconds after shifting into 4th. Anybody an idea what this causes?
Thanks!

Are you saying the shift lever moves forward, but the transmission stays in fourth gear?
In that case there must be something causing the lever to spring forward after shifting. If that's what's happening, I can't explain it without doing a lot of thinking; too early for that.

It is a 1961 bt5. So not a single mount I think.Doug McDonnell wrote:1960 with single mount transmission?

Start with the cheap and simple stuff, check your mounts to make sure they aren't shot or loose.
