As a relative newbie its easy to get fooled.
In searching for an old Nardi wheel for my 356 (obviously not made in the 60's) I came across a number of ads that say "Nardi - fresh off a Speedster" or "Sitting around for 25 years", or some such statement. With a high dollar price associated with the age of the wheel.
I found out that Nardi has a website http://www.nardi-personal.com/verifica/ that will tell you the year and month the wheel was made and a picture of it.
All the wheels I looked at were made in the last 2-5 years despite what the sellers said.

Re: Nardi Wheels - authenticity
I have an old Nardi wheel on my car and it has a month/year date stamp on it. I know it's authentic because I bought it back in the mid 70s and have used it on three cars
