Re: An Anniversary
I bought my 63 356B coupe in 1995 for $9K. She has been an absolute delight and I love driving her -- when I retired in 2010, I quit driving her to work which I often did. Now just for fun and at least once a week. Thanks for your stories on these wonderful little cars.

Re: An Anniversary
I had my 59 Carrera GT for 50 years then regretfully sold it.
I had only driven it 30000 miles then I got a 65 which I've exceeded 30000 miles.
Less value but more fun.

Re: An Anniversary
Just returned from Monterey. I judged 356s at the WERKS Reunion, and the 1951 Saulter "reverse door roadster" was in my judged group. It took a FIRST. I competed against it at the Baltimore Harbor Concourse in 1986. (Thank you Lee Raskin). Nice turnout, and some wonderful cars.

Re: An Anniversary
Jim, I understand that Ray Knight no longer owns that car. Did you learn who the new owner is?

Re: An Anniversary
Darn Sebastian, I did not make note of it. It is a new owner, and he has had it six years I believe. He is deep into the car's history, and dedicated to preserving it. At the Baltimore show, people were mocking it as some kind of fake. I knew better, as did the judges. It took first place in class, as did my '61 Roadster. Classes were marque mixed by year. The owner of a Dino came in second to me, and wanted to swap even. Like the fool I am, I said no. Now I'm just a lot older, and even more foolish.
