Yes, it did take a while to get a confirm but it will come. The weather will determine which car makes the Ferry from CT
How about that, I'll be taking the Ferry to a Porsche event...

I just got an email from Steven Vartanian, one of the organizers of the Hoffman Event on Oct 1st. He says:" Would love to see as many early 356's as possible. Getting a swarm later 911's and 90's cars. Please do your best to get some early cars here. Thanks again."
I guess it's up to us to show 'em more Tubs. If you're close come over to see and show!

Tom
got a similar email also .. The organizer said " They are very excited about all the early cars" they want as many as they can get..... They also said " the Pre-a's are very special 356's " and they have a have a special parking place for all the Pre A 's. should be a good show .

Regards Ned

Thanks for the update. Nice to have an event that appreciates the early Porsches, not just the shiny new ones. But, this event is about Hoffman, who actually imported these early cars !! Look forward !! George

Considering the different marques that Hoffman imported through the years, this might be a really interesting show. Take pictures for us po folks on the opposite coast.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

Less than 3 weeks away! Would love to have as many 356's as possible. A Max Hoffman event couldn't scream out more then about the 356!

Regrettably I am no longer involved with this Event. Disappointed I will miss all of the great 356's I got to come. Especially the very early Pre A's. Should still be a good turnout. Good luck!!

Cheers!

Sorry to hear about this, Steve. Seems like this event is short on details to participants. I am currently attending the Asheville Porsche Treffen and got no details until actually signing a waiver. Then, I see that my drive out in the morning leaves the host hotel at 6:30 AM !! Talk about a buzz kill !! Looks like the '55 is the only 356 so far that I have seen. ..... George

Looks like I may not be able to make it either, something came up for that weekend that I really can not plan around. The kicker is that the following weekend I will be going to CT with my car, right near the ferry to LI.

I would love to go, the ferry out to Eastern LI and drive down to the event would be a lot of fun. I will be leaving my car in CT for the winter so this could have worked out very well. Oh well...

Hey Guys !! Next Sunday, we will be displaying our cars at this event. But, have any of you received any specific information or details ?? I asked about security and never got a reply. A week out and we should have info on times/places/layout/security etc. It seems Porsche is involved and would lend a hand in organization. I am beginning to have my doubts .... I really think this could/will be nice but most of us are traveling a distance, trailering, spending money to attend and the organizers could be better communicators. George K

I received a (general email) today, trailer parking is available on site, and they also stated that they will allow
cars to be dropped off the night before between 4-9 pm. They are providing extra security on Saturday night.
I can forward the email to anyone that may be interested.
Hope to see everyone there.
