Re: DriventoAmerica
Really bummed I could not make it to this. Looks like a great event and it would have been a fun drive via ferry from CT to Eastern LI.
Hopefully it will happen again next year.

Re: DriventoAmerica
It was a really nice event with perfect weather. Nice turnout too! So many great cars and a pleasant crowd. I met Tom Tate and we spoke briefly, its nice to put the names with the faces. My 356C in Champagne Yellow seen in a few images above, the right most car in the 4th photo.

Great event! It was a pleasure to put faces to the emails and phone calls over the years,
and an opportunity to meet some new Porsche enthusiasts.
George thanks for reminding me how to fix the screw in Neds wipers.
George & Ned if you would email me with Phone numbers, thanks.
Post some pictures if you can.

Hey Guys !!
So nice to see many friends and new acquaintances !! A great turnout of 356’s !! More than the early 911 guys !! Each with a great story !! Super to learn even more Pre A details from Victor and Ned !! And their impeccable Continental Cabs !! I have some nice pics but cannot load as the files are too big. But love Ned’s and Don’s pictures. Great venue and event honoring Max Hoffman !! And, so nice to meet Ned’s beautiful daughter who kept close watch on his car and accoutrements !! George

Re: DriventoAmerica
Great time on Sunday. It was terrific to see old friends and make new ones. The staff did a great job and I have to say that the event exceeded my expectations. The venue was very nice and the inside display added to my knowledge of the Hoffman operation. It was like a cars and coffee that went from 8-2 but with the vendors, food and music we had a great time. I would've thought that an initial welcome speech would have been a good marketing move . We never did figure out who the Host was other than a local car company. Of the 100 or so cars about 30 were Tubs that included 4 four cam cars, one Speedster, a T5 GT and two Carrera 2. I'm sure as the years go along more of the cars that Hoffman handled will participate but it was fun to see some early 911's too.
Our drive from Boston enjoyed a Ferry ride from Bridgeport to Fort Jefferson which made it a lot easier. Folks on the boat loved our tubs.
Let's hope that it's the "same time next year". KTF
