Steve: Go check it out-it's listed as being in California, USA. I guess that's opposed to California, Nigeria.

Obviously a scam. I hope the site moderators remove the ad before someone sends them a check. Quite the price disparity between 180,000 on one site and 46,000 on the Registry classifieds.

He's back:

Someone needs to tell him that there is a difference between a VW bus and a 911.

Those are two different cars. I could be wrong but I don't see an obvious problem with those listings, might they be legit?

Hi Guys
We did happen to catch this one pretty quickly, but how about an occasional assist? We cannot be expected to be on the site 24/7. A simple e-mail to Me, Frank or Rhys and we may have clipped this lowlife before we did.

Thanks
Curt

My apologies I should have done that for sure.
The picture of the lower price car., has some of the exact same pictures of the same "sahana beige". same plate number and all..

the one thing is .. I was not sure about the higher value car ?

As far as I know the two '56 Coupes are legitimate ads. The poster of the red car simply borrowed photos of the other '56 up for sale to show what the red cars original color looked like. Two original Sahara Beige Coupes for sale at the same time- that is unique. I believe what precipitated this thread was an ad for an 18k, 76 911.

Thanks
C
