Thanks to the Emory Family and Friends

#1 Post by Steve Douglas »

The Emory Campout Reunion was wonderful, it took an incredible amount of work, and I would like to thank all of those who put weekend together, especially Gary, Rod, Amy, Linda, and Renee. So much fun, from the 6am Trumpet Reveille, to the last gasp of the gas powered margarita blender. Cars were secondary for many, it was the people, old friends new ones, the camaraderie, education and a chance to drive the great backroads of Oregon.

I will second Steve's comments. Best Porsche event I have been to in a very long while. I made an ~ 2 minute video from the campout with drone footage and stills I took. Happy to send to folks - email me offline. File is about 15 meg.

Well said Steve, I was very pleased I could make it out there. The Emorys have kept this event friendly and fun over the years. Hopefully they'll try it again someday.

I second Steve's comment, the Emory campout has to be one of the best. The people and cars were great. Just don't go to many car gathering where the people are so friendly and willing to help educate folks on there cars and give out tech information. I also would like to thank the gentleman that handed out the safety/service chart. I did not have a chance to thank him or catch his name at the time he handed it to me, bad hearing and to much talking. lol
I also hope that there will be another campout in the future.
