Correct color & finish for engine tin, shroud, oil filler,

#1 Post by Sal Gallucci »

Does anybody have a spec sheet on what the correct colors are for the engine compartment colors, i.e., engine shroud, oil filler - reservoir, etc. and whether the black engine tin is gloss finish or satin finish for the following 356's?

60' s90
62' normal cabriolet
63' s90
65' C Cabriolet

Thanks for your help!

As a reference for your `65C cab's engine colors:-
Herewith a photo of my 65C cab's engine with tins repainted satin black. The oil filler and carb filter cans still have their original paint and decals. The oil filter paint and decals are also original. I repainted the shroud in its original semi-gloss grey color, which coincidentally is exceptionally close to the car's original Dolphin Grey.
