This is a little off the subject but in the first video it shows taking a hand grinder to the con rods to cut new notches for the tabs on the bearings. I have a set of the "good rods" that someone had previously done the exact same thing to and I have been afraid to use them thinking that the grinding could create a stress riser that would result in a very nasty failure.
Am I wrong and those rods that have been modified like that are perfectly safe to use?
Any opinions on this, Thanks

Ray
