They really "brought a trailer"...

#1 Post by David Campbell »

I spotted this 356 on Dec. 7th as I was headed west of Atlanta, GA on I-20 near Douglasville. I could not get more pics due to really heavy traffic and safety concerns. I meant to post earlier but got busy and forgot it was on my phone. Any knowledge or suspicion about the car?

I've used a similar cart for cars with no suspension, no idea about this one.

Adam, you were the first person I thought about when I saw the rig.

That evening, I texted my sons the photo with a request for a caption contest.

One son remarked, "The best way to make a small fortune restoring Porsches is to begin with a large one"
The other one said, "The road to perdition is paved with good intentions".

Anyone who has ever found themselves in 356 resto-hell might agree.

That is the “infamous” 1962 356B from an earlier thread that brought $4200 on BAT !!

George, that make sense as the car was in Marietta, GA or "Muretta" as they say down here.
The buyer stated he has done some in worse shape. All I can say is "wow" to such metal skills.
