INFO ABOUT P.C PACIFIC BURLINGAME PORSCHE AUTO SHOP
Jaime, I believe that dealership was in Burlingame, California, a
town which is near to where I live. However, the company is long
gone. If you post photos of the car and the chassis number, maybe
someone on the Forum will remember it.

Hello Jaime:
PCP is the acronym for Porsche Cars Pacific. In late 1959, Porsche Cars Pacific was formed, with Reynold C. Johnson president, to be the Porsche distributor to eight dealers in Northern California, Northern Nevada, and Utah. Now, all USA Porsche dealers report to Porsche Cars North America. The distributorship organizations like Porsche Cars Pacific no longer exist.

In the 60's, Porsche Cars Pacific put on tech sessions for the Golden Gate Region PC with great speakers, lunches and even gifts. I recall hearing Walter Spielberger answer a questions about a Carrera 2 and then relate the answer to his experience designing Tiger tanks.

Hi Joel:
Your link is to a list of VW dealers who may not have had a Porsche franchise. Also, the list does not include Porsche dealers who never obtained a VW franchise.

Larry,
This list isn't meant to be the full Monty, just a good starting point. Perhaps someone on the list knows of a more complete list vis a vis 356 Porsches. I may be wrong here, but I
don't recall any Porsche only dealerships back in the day. If there was they must have sold a lot more of them than anyone else as VW or some other more mundane offering was usually the bread and butter for the dealership.
