Front Linkage Bracket On 56 Is Loosey Goosey

#1 Post by Steve Watson »

Anyone have experience with this pivoting throttle linkage bracket on an early linkage car? Here's a video of the part on my 56 Coupe:

I believe this is the reason why I'm only getting about two thirds of full throttle. Haven't removed it yet to investigate the cause of the wobble.

Pull the cotter pin and pop off the ball linkage and remove it.
Then check it out to see what is loose or worn out.
