GR and Sons
Anyone ever dealt with this outfit? They are in Laguna Beach and sell a lot of stuff on the Samba.

I've bought several items from George and never a problem. His prices are negotiable.

And his listed prices are usually high.

Re: GR and Sons
His associate usually handles the pricing and I was told some items are on consignment. I have been able to negotiate lower prices with George.

My experience has been positive. George often has hard to find parts, describes them well and ships quickly.

Re: GR and Sons
Ed, Are you referring to the ones with the numbers horizontally across the lens as in the picture on this page?

If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Re: GR and Sons
David, thanks for replying. I am looking for the earlier version, which doesn't have any numbers running horizontally. All the numbers are at the bottom following the curve of the lense.

Re: GR and Sons
Those I thought were for the the T2 and early T5. That is what I have on my T2's. My T6 has the later ones.

Re: GR and Sons
I am pretty sure that they were on cars through some time in '62 (or later?). My car built in January of 1962 has them, in so so shape. Others have confirmed this, including in our own headlight lenses thread.

Re: GR and Sons
Extensive discussion in "Stickies" right at the top of these discussion pages about headlight lenses which should answer the question.
