I have this pre 57.5 normal case with a chip out of the cam follower area. Anyone know if this can be repaired or is the case now a boat anchor? For a small boat! Appreciate any thoughts....thanks!
Paul

I know that Walt at Competition Engineering in CA is quite a ways away, but would probably be able to fix that. How's the rest of the case and is it numbers matching for your car?
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

Thanks, I'll give Walt a call, I've sent stuff out there before. It's not a numbers matching case for me but the rest of it is in great shape.

Hi Paul
you can probably use it the way it is but if you need other work on the case go ahead and fix it. This job can be done by a competent shop without Porsche experience. any other operations should be left to Porsche specialist like Walt.
