Cleaned up the threads they destroyed when they hacked in the with the old regulator, mounted the new one. New copper connector on the B+ wire, soldered, and covered with heat shrink tubing.

New generator and regulator are in, took it for a 30 or so test drive this morning.

The car seems to run better, but I think that's just my imagination

Bravo Zulu, also referred to as "BZ," is a naval signal, typically conveyed by flaghoist or voice radio, meaning "Well Done"; in addition to U.S. naval forces, it has also been used as part of vernacular slang within NATO and other Allied naval forces. It can be combined with the "negative" signal, spoken or written NEGAT, to say "NEGAT Bravo Zulu", or "not well done".

You missed the opportunity to install your generator in the right position. It should be rotated 90 degres to the right, also no need for fiber spacer between fan shroud and generator flange on A cars. The strap holding the generator to the engine case should be cad plated...I know you want to make this car really nice, congratulations !

Wow, that was kind of boneheaded, but it's a relatively easy fix.

I was on the fence about that. This is a later engine, and I think this engine would have had it, but the car wouldn't. From what I read it didn't seem like it would matter either way.

Good to know; this one has been powder coated.
