With a little spare time lately I reclaimed an old PCA grill badge that had chipped enamel.
It actually doesn't have dark spots , its just the lighting.....Now I'll wait until it starts to tarnish .
It took a few hours ,but passed the time......better than doing a puzzle

Re: Grill Badge
Can't wait to see the patina look! Since you'll have to wait for that to transpire, puzzles may now be in order!

Re: Grill Badge
Lockie,
WE have stores here "HOBBY LOBBY" which have all kinds of craft wares. I believe they have cloisonne kits if you'd care to try that.
The dark spots are where it was polished. taking off the molding sheen.

Re: Grill Badge
I acquired this one about 15-18 years ago. Loved the way it looked then. Haven't touched it since. Certainly don't plan on removing the chipped enamel.

Re: Grill Badge
I saw this when I was at the Porsche Experience Center last year and didn't realize then that it was just a stripped down badge.
I am not sure if mine will slowly turn into something like this or if I will have to play with it a bit more to get this effect.
