I now have the later Roadster manual that I need. Thanks to my friend who kindly loaned me his copy. And thanks to all who have contacted me. I am really looking forward to begin working on this little project.

Peter Silten wrote:What is the year of your car, and what type of convertible top latches do you have? If your latches look like the one labeled later Roadster latch then the later version of the top manual is correct for your car. If your top latch looks like the one labeled Roadster latch then you want the earlier version.
Both have the top latch 89758 & 89805

I wanted to let everyone know that I have now reproduced three manuals for the 60-62 Roadsters. Two of the manuals were issued by Porsche and are similar to the 8-page manual I did for the Convertible D concerning the correct way to open and close the convertible top. One is dated 3.60 and the other is dated 6.60. The one dated 3.60 was for the early Roadsters (vin #s 86831 to 87825), which were equipped with the early top latches (the same latches as ones for the D), while the one dated 6.60 was for the later Roadsters (vin #s 87826 to 89483 and 89601 to 89849), which were equipped with the later latches. When I started this project I was unaware that there were two versions of this manual. I knew about the later manual but not about the earlier version. The third manual is one that was issued by Drauz in late 1959 with the advent of the 1960 Roadster. I discovered it entirely by chance in my search for the other Roadster manuals. (See viewtopic.php?f=1&t=43154) I located an original copy of this extremely rare manual, and I decided to reproduce it as well. I will be posting photos of all three manuals on the Registry sometime later this week, but I wanted those of you who have followed this thread to be the first to know that the Roadster top manuals are now available for purchase. I have set aside copies of all three of the manuals for those who have said that they would like a copy of one. I have email addresses for those of you who have contacted me directly. I ask that those who have not sent me their email address to do so, and to confirm the version of the Roadster top manual you would like. My email address is: prs356@comcast.net I will have a table at the upcoming Lit Meet in LA for those of you who would like to see and purchase a manual at that time. For those of you unable to attend the Lit Meet, I will fulfill your order after the Lit Meet. This has been a fun project. Thanks for your interest. Peter

Hi Peter,

It looks like my Roadster (88324) has the Later Latch, so I would like one of those if possible. Thank you so much for tackling this project!

Hi Peter,
I'll take a set of three...3/60, 6/60, 6/60-2
I'll be at the Lit Meet, tables 73-75. I'm checking into the Hilton on Thursday afternoon.
Great work!
