When in 56 did the add "Made in Germany" to the 3rd piece ?

Guys,

Just a trivia thing but in 1956 they added "Made in Germany" on the front of the 3rd piece.

I have several A Normal early 56 thru 57 cases and the latest I have with out the casting saying "Made in Germany" is # 62543 and I notice #62958 is in our For Sale classifieds which has the "Made in Germany" cast into it, so thought it might be interesting trivia if others want to chime in with case's in this number range and tell us what they have ?

I have motor # 60465 A early 56 motor and it does not have Made In Germany, just to let you know.

Being that I started this thread a while back, I did a little more research myself and thanks to all the fellows who chimed in. David's # 62592 looked to be the earliest with no "Made in Germany" . I just found 62622 on E bay and this does have "Made in Germany" so this gets us within 30 .

Interesting note I did find 63314 on Samba and this goofs us up because it does not have the "Made in Germany"

My theory is they most likely had a bunch of case's from the foundry and randomly machined and numbered them, but it looks like so far all the cases I have looked at under 62592 do not have"Made in Germany" and all the cases I have looked at over the number 62622 do have the " Made in Germany" except for the one.

If any one has cases between 62592 and 63314 and would like to chime in please do.
